Tig Sutton
Back to thumbnails. Tig Sutton was born in Chatham in 1946. He studied Fine Art at Medway College of Art under Fred Cumming (painting), Trevor Willoughby (drawing), amongst many others from1962 to 1964 and moved to Maidstone College of Art (1964-1966). From1966 to 1969 he was a pupil at the Royal College of Art Painting School.
He worked as a freelance illustrator for over thirty years with clients that have included English Heritage, BBC Worldwide, Lego, Readers Digest, Harper Collins, Laura Ashley, Penguin Books, Star Wars and Yale University Press and has exhibited at the Royal Academy, as well as many galleries throughout Britain. His paintings make up many private collections throughout the UK as well as in the USA, Japan, Europe and Morocco.
