Adam Ralston was born in Lytham St. Annes in 1970. He's a plein air oil painter, and paints from direct observation. His hometown of Blackpool is a prominent subject throughout his art as well as London, and he prefers to complete a painting in one go if possible. He was recently elected a member of the Manchester Academy Of Fine Arts (MAFA). He's exhibited regularly at the Mall Galleries in London with the New English Art Club, the Royal Society Of British Artists and the Royal Institute Of Oil Painters, where in 2016 he won the Frank Herring Easel Award. He won 1st place at London's Pintar Rapido 2017, and 1st place at the ROI Paintlive event 2017.
