Sue Campion was born in London in 1944. She originally trained as a display artist and worked in this field throughout the sixties and seventies. After spending time travelling and painting in Spain, Belgium, Sweden and Australia, in 1986 she returned to study Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 1990.
Sue paints a variety of subjects and whether it is a still life of flowers or a sweeping Yorkshire landscape the viewer is drawn into the artists enthusiasm for the subject, expressed in her confident and skilled use of colour. The pictorial elements of her landscapes are cleverly employed in the construction of the composition as are the backgrounds of her still lifes and portraits.
She has had numerous solo exhibitions and her work makes up part of many corporate collections including The Courtauld Institute slide library, Charing Cross Hospital and Swedish Airlines Art Club.
