ISLAND FINE ART AWARDED CONTRACT TO PROVIDE PAINTING FOR SPECIALIST MARINE INSURER
Following Rod Pearce’s recent success in being commissioned to paint works for the world’s largest superliner, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2, Rod’s paintings have now been chosen to grace the walls of Michael Else & Co Ltd, an established marine insurer based in the City of London.
The company has recently undergone a major refit of their offices in Leadenhall Street, and as part of this process invited Island Fine Arts to advise on paintings for their new interiors. Over the past six months the Bembridge-based gallery has developed an understanding of the company’s image and matched this to their stable of leading British painters. The theme of the collection is concerned with atmosphere taking into consideration the geographical situation of the company and the international nature of their business. Besides oils of London and Bembridge by Rod Pearce, the gallery will also be supplying works by a number of other eminent painters such as Edward Seago, Ken Howard, Robert King and Trevor Chamberlain. The new painting will be hung in many of the public areas of the company reflecting Michael Else’s & Co’s maritime heritage.
Nick Fletcher, of Island Fine Arts said “we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Michael Else & company and feel the paintings endorse the company’s profile as a leading provider of specialised marine insurance products for the shipping industry.
