Born in 1966, Elena graduated from an Architectural institute in 1989, and initially worked as an architect, before moving to Glasgow in 1996.
The inspiration for her work is drawn from the social interaction between people in everyday life. Elena’s paintings capture her vision of life reflecting the happy, quirky side of everyday existence. She presents the subject so it is slightly exaggerated and sentimental, and always filled with emotion. Her paintings aim to provoke a comment, a reaction or an feeling. At least they are sure to make you smile!
Her work has been featured on Grand Designs (Channel 4) and is part of many private collections worldwide. She exhibits regularly with galleries throughout the UK.
