Tony Allain was born in 1949 and has been painting for over 30 years. He has gained an enviable reputation as an accomplished pastel painter of light and movement. His pictures of Venice, and the landscape and coastline around his home in Cornwall are worked in a brisk impressionist style which is suited to the use of pastels. Each work demonstrates total understanding of his surroundings and his medium.
He has exhibited extensively over the years and his work can be found in many leading contemporary galleries in the UK. His work makes up many private collections and is on permanent display in the Maritime Museum Castle Cornet, Guernsey.
