Myles Mence

Born in 1954, Myles Mence grew up on the south coast of England and in the West Wight. During his school years he received encouragement from a number of practising painters. He developed a passion for light and atmosphere during this time that he was able to explore further while serving in the army. After a spell in the security industry he turn professional in 1991.

Myles takes his inspiration for painters such as Edward Seago and enjoys working plein air, laying down nature with great sensitivity and sincerity.

He has exhibited widely and his works hang in many private and corporate collections including Toshiba, Yamaha, Reebok, Mannesmann Dematic, Hong Kong Land, London & Wessex Shipping Company, Yeoman Group plc and Rotapoint Ltd.
