Adam Ralston, ROI

Adam Ralston was born in Lytham St. Annes in 1970. He's a plein air oil painter and paints from direct observation. His hometown of Blackpool is a prominent subject throughout his art as well as London. He's exhibited regularly at the Mall Galleries in London with the New English Art Club, the Royal Society Of British Artists and the Royal Institute Of Oil Painters. He won 1st place at London's Pintar Rapido 2017, and 1st place at the ROI Paintlive event 2017. In 2020 he won the ‘Menena Joy Schwabe Memorial Award’ for an outstanding painter in oils. He won the ‘Frank Herring Easel Award’ both in 2016 & 2021 and the ‘Artist Magazine Award’ in 2022.
Adam is a full member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI), and Manchester Academy of Fine Arts (MAFA). He’s also a member of the outdoor painting group the ‘Northern Boys’ and the ‘British Plein Air Painters’.
