Dexter Brown was born in Middlesex in 1942. He studied at Harrow School of Art and worked briefly in a London design studio prior to turning professional.
He is highly regarded as one of the leading automotive painters living today, although his subject matter also encompasses wildlife, street scenes and figure studies. Dexter works in most mediums communicating the passion, heat and speed of the moment. Each work demonstrates his ability to interpret light and the intensity of what he sees in front of him in a rich canvas of colour.
Dexters work has been featured in many periodicals including Ferrari World, Autosport and Car Collector. He has exhibited worldwide and his paintings make up many private collections.
2013 is a very special year in the history of the Porsche 911. The car was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, 1963. 2013 is the 50th Anniversary of the car and to mark this event, Dexter will be painting a very special picture.
