Isobel Scott-Malden

Isobel Scott-Malden was born in London in 1998. She is self-taught, having been inspired during childhood and studied art history.
Her work is highly labour intensive and detailed, it can take Isobel many months to complete one painting. There is a great sense of realism in each work, and on closer examination you appreciate the inspiration from the old masters, her love of poetry and everyday life all coming together in her paintings.
In 2021 she had her debut solo exhibition which sold out and won the Women in Art Emerson Award for Young Woman Artist and the Women in Art People's Vote prize. She was shortlisted in 2023 for the Jackson’s Painting Prize, and her painting at the 2024 Royal Society of British Artists exhibition received a Highly Commended by The Philip de Laszio Foundation. She has exhibited with a number UK galleries in mixed shows and her work features in many private collections.
